If there is more than half a bottle of wine remaining, the above steps
should suffi ciently remove the air and seal the bottle. For less than half a
bottle of wine, it is recommended to repeat steps 3–4 a second time to
ensure all the air has been removed.
5. Remove the wine preserver pump from the wine stopper.
6. Use the date indicator

on the wine stopper to mark the date the bottle was
sealed (see
Fig. H
).
To remove the wine stopper from a sealed bottle, move the pin on top of
the wine stopper sideways to allow some air to go into the bottle. Then
fi rmly hold the bottle with one hand and gently ease the wine stopper
away from the bottle with the other hand.
Wine aerator
− Attach the wine aerator

to the bottle before pouring the wine out. It aerates
the wine while the wine is poured from the bottle, improving the fl avour of the
wine.

nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as
knives, hard scrapers and the like. They could damage the
surfaces.
