Before First Use
Installation
•
Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have made
sure your new Table Top Dishwasher is undamaged and in good working order.
Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so
ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
•
We recommend that two people handle the dishwasher during installation.
•
NOTE:
It is advised the dishwasher is installed by a qualified technician.
•
When selecting a position for your freestanding dishwasher you should make
sure the installation surface is flat and firm, and the room is well ventilated.
Avoid locating your dishwasher near a heat source, eg. cooker, boiler or
radiator. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause the appliance
not to perform properly. This dishwasher is not designed for use in a garage or
outdoors.
•
Do not cover the dishwasher. When installing, ensure that free space is left at
the sides.
•
The installation position of the dishwasher should be near the existing inlet,
drain hoses and power cord.
•
Position the appliance in the desired location. Ensure there is sufficient
clearance on each side of the unit to allow slight sideways movement for
servicing when required. Good levelling is essential for correct closure and
sealing of the door. When the unit is correctly levelled, the door should not
catch the inner liner on either side of the cabinet.
•
One side of the cabinet sink should be chosen to facilitate the connection of
drain hoses of the dishwasher.
•
The dishwasher is equipped with water supply and drain hoses that can be
positioned to the right or the left to facilitate proper installation.
•
The appliance door should not be left in the open position since this could
present a tripping hazard.
•
Do not overload the dishwasher. Please refer to page 15 ‘loading the
dishwasher’ for advice regarding the maximum number of each type of place
setting that can be washed.
