Instructions for avoiding spreading errors
-
Store the fertilizer properly (refer to manufacturer's instructions)
-
Adjust the machine in accordance with the setting charts, the Internet database and observing the
recommended instructions in the operator manual.
-
Check the spread rate before starting spreading.
-
Check the adjusted working width (distance between the tramlines) using the mobile test kit (optional
equipment) when using unknown types of fertilizer and also for general checking purposes.
1.2
General instructions for machine adjustment
-
Observe the general safety instructions in the operator manual.
-
Make sure the guard tube is fitted.
-
The operating height is measured at the spreading disc, and is usually horizontal and at 80 cm above half
crop growth
-
Normally the spreading disc speed is 720min

Special instructions for spreading slug pellets
Slug pellets can be very dangerous for children and pets (e.g. dogs). Keep out of reach of children and
pets. Always observe the manufacturer's instructions for use!
The standard version of the centrifugal spreader can also be used for the wide spreading of slug pellets. The
spread rate of slug pellets is relatively low (e.g. 3 kg/ha).
Avoid inhaling of product dust and direct skin contact when filling the centrifugal spreader (wear protective gloves).
Thoroughly wash your hands and skin parts affected with water and soap after application.
When handling slug pellets always observe the manufacturer's instructions and the general safety precautions
governing the handling of plant protection products (BBA leaflet no. 18).
Ensure that the two slides are locked closed when driving to the field and back. In cases of an uncontrolled
discharge of spreading material in a concentrated area, collect or remove that material immediately. Ensure when
spreading slug pellets that the outlets apertures are always covered by spreading material and that the machine is
operated at a constant spreading disc speed. A residual quantity of approx. 0.7 kg per hopper tip cannot be spread
as designated. To empty the spreader open the slides and collect the material running out (e. g. on a dropcloth),
and keep it in a closed container in a place out of reach (of children and pets).
Refer to the following pages for the rate settings of the spreader. These values are guide values. Always perform a
two-side spread rate check before spreading. For further information refer to the operator manual corresponding to
the machine.
