Note –
Reset the INK indicator by pressing the ENTER
button and holding for three (3) seconds while in the “Quick
Setup Mode” [must see “
SETUP”
in line 2]. Whenever the cover
is removed you are automatically in the “Quick Setup Mode” .

Note –
If the print mechanism is down (a piece of paper
could not be inserted), press the RESET button to move the
carriage to the up position. This will make the ribbon
cartridge installation easier.
The Margin Selector (see
Figure 3 above) can be moved toward the rear of the
clock to provide more clearance for ribbon
replacement.

Note –
A key is required to unlock the top cover which
allows you access to the ribbon cartridge for replacement
and/or the programming buttons.

The TCX-85 ribbon cartridge in
Green

These ribbon cartridges are normally good for approximately
9,000 stamps. They are supplied sealed in plastic to provide an
average shelf life of 2 plus years.
