This setting circulates air.  If the exhaust air option is used,
this setting  will exhaust stale indoor air.  In this mode, the
fan runs continuously at high speed without compressor
operation.

When the outdoor temperature is lower than 25°F, heat is
provided by the electric heater in the air conditioner instead
of by the heat pump.

  Not available on all models.

Fan Cycle Switch

The fan cycle switch is located behind the plastic front
assembly underneath the control knob (Figure 9).  The fan
cycle switch sets the operational mode of the fan.  In the
NORMAL position, the fan will run continuously whenever
the unit is in the heat or cool mode.  In the CYCLE position,
the fan will cycle on and off with the compressor when the unit
is in the cool mode.  This switch can only be set by a servicer.

Preventative Maintenance

WARNING

To prevent death or personal injury due to
electrical shock, unplug the unit at the wall
outlet or turn off power at the fuse box or
circuit breaker before servicing the unit.

INTAKE AIR FILTER

The intake air filter should be cleaned when it is dirty or at
least once a month.  The intake air filter is constructed of
durable polypropylene.

The following procedure is used to remove the intake filter:

1. Remove the filter by lifting up on filter handle. See Figure

A.

2. Remove intake air filter from front panel.

3. Clean filter with a vacuum or running water.  If using

water, please be sure that the filter is not excessively
wet when replaced.

4. Reverse this procedure to reinstall the filter.
