FILTER REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
The
AMERICAIR HEPA Air Filtration System
is designed to run continuously. To ensure
optimal performance, please carefully follow the Product Information and Owner’s
Manual Instructions.
FILTER REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Read these instructions completely.
2.
Unplug your unit from the power supply outlet.
3.
Remove the safety screw from the top of the unit (located at the rear)
4.
Lift the front door of the unit up and pull it out to remove it from the unit. This will
allow access to the filter compartment.
5.
Unfasten the restraining strap(s) holding the filter(s) in place
6.
Remove the
HEPA
cartridge(s) from the unit by turning it counter clockwise and lift out.
NOTE: The foam pre-filter and the
HEPA
filter will contain contaminants. Remove
them slowly from the unit in order to avoid dusting.
7.
To remove the first-stage filter simply lift the foam from the bottom, pull it off.
Wash if desired, or replace with new

To replace the first stage filter pull the foam filter over the
HEPA
cartridge and
gently pull it down until it completely covers the
HEPA
filter (white portion).
9.
To replace the 3rd stage V.O.C. filter, fold the ends of the old Inner Blanket in, and
remove it from the unit. Insert the new Inner Blanket inside the HEPA Cartridge with
the edges overlapping. Once it is in position gently spread the Inner Blanket against
the HEPA filter until the two ends of the blanket meet.
10.
Replace the
HEPA
cartridge, complete with the new pre-filter and inner blanket
(if changed) into the unit. Turn HEPA filter clockwise until it locks into position.
11.
Secure the Filters by tightly re-fastening the restraining straps over the top of the
Filter Assembly.

After the filter(s) has been replaced, replace the top door, and replace the safety screw.
10.
Plug in the unit and turn it on.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug the unit into a grounded outlet 120 Volt, 60 Hz (or 230 Volt, 50/60 Hz
Depending on the area in which the unit was sold).
2. Turn the unit on by flicking the power switch to the ‘on’ position
3. To turn the unit off, flick the power switch to the ‘off’ position
CAUTION!
1. Make sure that the line cord is not in the path of people walking or where any-
thing can be rolled over it.
2. Locate the unit such that there is no possibility of moisture dripping on it.
Moisture could leak into the unit and damage the filter or electrical components.
3. The Air Filtration System discharges clean air through the outflow screens on the
side (7500 Cart) or the front (6000V Cart) of the unit.
NOTE: You may notice a slight “new” smell from the Air Filtration System when you
first turn it on. This is normal and harmless and it will dissipate within a few days.
HEPA Filter Replacement
As the HEPA filter captures particulates, it will darken over time.
Replace the HEPA filter when it darkens to example D.
