UTP Transceiver Hub for 24VAC/12VDC fixed
cameras (based on power supply rating).
Installation Instructions:
1. Secure the unit in a rack (Fig. 5, pg. 6) (unit should be spaced at least 3” from any video monitors).
2. Connect the BNC video outputs for HubWayH16 Channels 1-16 to the corresponding video inputs on the head end
equipment (DVR) (Fig. 1d, pg. 3).
3. Connect external power source (AC or DC power supply) to the individual channel terminals marked [Power]
(Fig. 1b, pg. 3).
Connecting Fixed Cameras
(Fig. 3a, pg. 5)
:
1. Set switch of the corresponding channel on the rear of HubWayH16 to [PWR] (Fig. 1e, pg. 3).
Warning:
To avoid equipment damage do not connect PTZs to channels selected for POWER (PWR) only.
2. Connect HubWayAvP Video Balun/Combiner at camera to the HubWayH16 unit utilizing CAT-5 or higher structured
cable. Plug the RJ45 connector at one end of the structured cable into the RJ45 jack marked [Channel 1-16] of the
HubWayH16 (Fig. 1c, pg. 3). Plug the RJ45 connector at the opposite end of the structured cable into the RJ45 jack
of the Video Balun/Combiner located at the camera (Fig. 2a, pg. 4).
Note:
Repeat steps 1-2 for each additional fixed camera (Channels 2-16).
Connecting PTZ Cameras
(Fig. 3b, pg. 5)
:
1. Connect the RS422/RS485 output of the head end equipment (DVR) to the individual terminals marked [+ DATA --- ]
of the HubWayH16 unit (polarity must be observed) (Fig. 1a, pg. 3).
Note:
The Data input terminals of the HubWayH16 must be wired in parallel for proper operation.
2. Set switch of the corresponding channel on the rear of HubWayH16 to [PWR/DATA] (Fig. 1e, pg. 3).
3. Connect HubWayAv2 Video Balun/Combiner at camera to the HubWayH16 unit utilizing CAT-5 or higher structured
2b, pg. 4).
Note:
Repeat steps 1-3 for each additional PTZ camera (Channels 2-16).
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain or
moisture. This installation should be made by qualified service personnel and should conform to
all local codes.
