4. For fresh bread or whole wheat, use a higher setting than normal.
5. Very thick pieces of bread may require two cycles.
6. Frozen breads: Frozen waffles, pancakes, French toast and frozen bagels should be warmed using the defrost button.
7. Pastries: Exercise caution when toasting pastries. The filling can become quite hot long before the surface of the
pastry becomes brown.
DEFROST BUTTON
The defrost button is designed to firstly defrost and then toast the bread, which extends the toasting cycle slightly.
1. Insert slices of bread into the bread slots.
2. Turn the light/dark selector onto the desired position:
•
Setting 1-2: for refrigerated breads and thinner frozen items such as frozen pancakes.
•
Setting 3-4: for pastries, frozen waffles, thin French toast and refrigerated bagels.
•
Setting 5-6: for thicker frozen items such as bagels, hand cut bread and thick French toast.

Press the bread carriage level down until it locks into position.
4. When the cycle is completed the bread carriage will raise the toast up.
REHEAT BUTTON
1. Insert slices of bread into the bread slots.
2. Press the bread carriage lever down until it locks into position.
3. Press the reheat button.
4. When the cycle is completed the bread carriage will raise the toast up.
BAGEL BUTTON
1. Insert sliced bagel or English muffin with cut sides facing to the inside of toaster. Only the inside coils will heat up.
2. Press the bread carriage level down until it locks into position.
3. Press the bagel button.
4. When the cycle is completed the bread carriage will raise the bagel up.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always unplug the toaster from electrical outlet and allow to cool before cleaning.
2. Do not use abrasive cleansers. Simply wipe the exterior with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Apply any
cleaning agent to cloth, not directly onto the toaster.
3. To remove crumbs, slide out the crumb tray and discard crumbs and clean the tray. Never operate the toaster without
the crumb tray in place.
4. To remove any pieces of bread remaining in the toaster, turn the toaster upside down and shake gently. Never insert
any hard or sharp instrument into the slots as this could damage the toaster and cause hazard.
5. Never wrap the cord around the outside of the toaster, use the cord storage on the underside of the toaster.
