Adjusting the waistband
The waistband prevents the vest from
slipping and closes by means of a zipper
over the stomach above the hips. Before
starting your trip, make sure the protector
fits properly. The waistband must always
be fully closed. Please check this on any
children accompanying you as well.
Care and cleaning
Please observe the washing instructions on
the product. Minor soiling can be wiped off
with a damp cloth. The vest can be washed
according to the washing instructions on the
label sewn into it. The protector plate must be
taken out through the vest’s opening before
you wash it. Hang dry so that it has good
ventilation; do not dry over a heater. When
inserting the protector plate into the vest,
make sure it is facing the right way (marking
on the protector plate). Modifications to the
product can impact its protective effect; refrain
from making any modifications. This also
includes soiling or misuse of the protector.
Storage and transportation
Let the protector air out thoroughly after each
use, as this prevents unpleasant odours
from forming and damage due to moisture.
When storing for long periods of time, keep
the protector clean and dry, protected from
sunlight, direct heat sources and chemicals.
Do not set any heavy or sharp objects on top
of it and do not fold or bend it in storage, as
this can cause permanent damage to the
protector. Very high temperatures, such as
occur in parked cars in the summer, should
be avoided.
This impairs the impact damping effect and
can cause lasting damage in extreme cases.
The protector should be transported in a bag
with no sharp, wet or heavy objects in it.
Examination, maintenance and wear
The protector will normally not be damaged
when exposed to impact typical of winter
sports, nor when exposed to highly unlikely
EN
Proper application
The protector is worn the same way as
a conventional piece of clothing, such as
a jacket, by putting your arms through
the openings provided for them. It is
recommended that you wear the protector
over a lower layer of clothing. The zipper is
closed on the front of the body.
