Assembly
Locate the Selfie Stick
:
Extend the selfie
stick and note the
screw hole on the
bottom (Figure 1).
The screw on top
of the grey Alpha
Match box will
screw into this
hole.
Locate the
grey Alpha Match box
:
Screw the selfie stick onto
the screw located on the
top of the grey Alpha
Match box (Figure 2). Feel
free to turn till the center
loop is aligned. You might
need to hold the nut under
the selfie‐stick with pliers if
it is overtightened.
Locate the
large Coaxial Loop element:
Straighten this outer
Coaxial Loop Element
to form an approximate
circle that is slightly
larger than 3 feet in
diameter.
Secure the Large Coaxial elements:
Take note of the approximate
center for the Outer loop. Place
the center of the large coaxial
element over the top of the selfie
stick, then the PL‐259 ends on the
larger outer loop will be near the
Alpha Match box. Secure the
outer and the smaller inner loop
using the nylon clips, which just
turn and snap on.
Attach PL259 connectors:
Attach the PL‐259 connectors
on the larger Coaxial Loop
Element to the SO‐239
connectors on the grey Alpha
Match box per Figure 5.
Connect your PL259 to the T‐
Connector on the small inner
loop, and then run your coax
to your equipment.
Tuning: 98‐60W SSB and 50W CW/25W Digital Tuning
Start with minimum power & select your frequency, then
turn the black knob on the grey Alpha Match till your rigs
meter peaks with the loudest audible noise floor. You
may also use an antenna analyzer to verify the SWR.
Increase your power.
Optional 100W SSB Tuning
Tune with the above technique first, then adjust your
Microphone Gain setting (if available on your rig) so that
your meter does not peak when SSB is used. Increase
your power.
Optional 40‐80M Booster Cable
The Booster cable enables 20W PEP SSB on 40/60/80M
and installs in Series with the 10‐40M outer loop.
