Changing the shelling belts
1. Stop the belt someplace where the belt lacing is easily accessible, the
bottom belt must be stopped by the access window.
2. Unlatch the tension adjustment so the belts become loose.
3. Straighten the end of the lacing zipper, pull out the lacing zipper and
remove the old belt.
4. Install new belt, cleats on the top belt must point to the exit of the
machine. Cleats on the bottom belt must point to the entrance of the
machine. (picture below)
5. Install lacing zipper pin, latch tension adjustment and check belt tightness,
adjust as needed.
6. Whenever the shelling belts are replaced, they must be adjusted for
tightness and tracking.
7. Once the belts are adjusted, you are ready to resume shelling.
