Tools:

#2 #3 Phillips head, Rubber mallet or hammer, Small flathead screwdriver, Allen

key, Box cutter.

Skill Set:

Good manual dexterity

Estimated Time:

7 minutes per chair

Steps:

1. Base - 1min

Hold the base legs firmly and strike the bottom of cylinder with a hammer

until base comes loose, remove base.

2. Casters - 2min

Grasp and pull to remove casters from the base.

3. Cylinder - 1min

Remove cylinder by placing one hand on can of cylinder and hit the bottom of

the mechanism with hammer until cylinder separates from mechanism.

4. Mechanism - 3min

Turn the chair upside down, so the bottom is visible. Locate the five (5)

fasteners located underneath. Remove the mechanism from the seat.

For further dismantling, the upholstery from the Chair Frame could be removed. The foam and metal

would be left. The foam could be disposed of and the recovered metal could be recycled.
