ESSID

 

ESSID is the network name of the Access Point in the wireless network. You should set the same ESSID 

name for all your 

wireless-equipped devices 

to allow dynamic clients to easily roam among them. The ESSID 

name can be up to 32 characters in length and is case sensitive. 

 

Security Settings (Authentication Mode/ Encryption Mode) 

There are four basic 

security types you can set up: 

 

Open

:

 

Allows any device to connect to the network, assuming the device’s ESSID matches the access point’s 

ESSID.
