100BASE-TX Cable. 100BASE-TX connections must be made with
category 5 cables only. Using any other category or a poor quality cable for
a 100BASE-TX connection will potentially have high error rates or will
not move data at all.
The five common modular cable specifications and their applicability to
10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX networks are shown in Table 2.
