Note
Loopback tests only work for fiber optic ports, you cannot test a
copper port. Additionally, the fiber cable connectivity can only be
tested using the SFP+ 10Gbps transmitter. It cannot be tested with
SFP 1Gbps transmitter.
To use Loopback Mode, set the LPBK DIP switch on the back panel to
ON. For more information about DIP switches and how to set them, refer
to “DIP Switches” on page 25.
Caution
Loopback tests are disruptive to network operations. The media
converters do not forward network traffic during the test. Some
network traffic may be lost.
