Section 5 Service Procedures
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the dryer(s) before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas dryer(s) before servicing.
• Never start the dryer(s) with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the dryer is properly grounded.

50. CONTROL HOOD
a. Remove control panel and support bracket.
Refer to Paragraph 27 and Figures 8, 9 or 10.
Disconnect all wires. (Refer to appropriate
wiring diagram when reconnected.)
b. Remove or raise cabinet top. Refer to
c. Support hood and remove 6 screws holding
control hood to cabinet top. Refer to Figure 27.
51. FRONT AIR DUCT
a. Remove front panel. Refer to Paragraph 31,
steps “a’ through “c”.
b. Remove lint filter. Refer to Figure 19.
c. Remove hex head screws holding duct to front
bulkhead and lift off. Refer to Figure 28.
NOTE: When reassembling, be sure felt seal on
exhaust fan cover makes air tight seal on flange of
duct. Refer to Figure 29.
