7. Comp. rotating in the wrong
direction
Correct the direction of rotation.
8. Insufficient supply of fresh cooling
air.
Check location max. ambient tempe45 ˚C (110 ˚F)
9. Intake or outlet valves nt closing
properly
Check and clean valves, replace as necessary.
10. Wrong direction of rotation
See arrow on compressor and remedy accordingly
13. AIR LEAKING FROM THE INTERSTAGE SAFETY VALVE
1. Safety valve faulty
Replace the safety valve.
2. Inlet valve of the next stage
leaks
Remove valves; clean or replace.
3. Inlet valve of the next stage
broken
Remove valves; clean or replace.
14. CYLINDER PRESSURE BUILDS UP SLOWLY
1. Dirty air filter
Replace air intake filter element
2. Blown cylinder gasket
Install a new gasket
3. Worn or broken valves
Replace valves
4. Air leaks in the system
Search for leaks; correct the situation.
5. Loose belts
Adjust tension –the compressor has automatic tightening slides; consult factory.
6. Speed too slow
Check the compressor speed.
15. RECEIVER PRESSURE BUILDS UP TOO FAST
1. Water in the storage cylinders
/filters
Drain the receiver frequently or install an automatic drain.
2. Speed too fast.
Check the speed.
16. RESET MECHANISM CUTS-OUT REPEATEDLY
1. Motor overload
Shut down and check for cause
2. Faulty pressure switch or pilot
valve
Adjust or replace
3. High ambient temperature
Improve ventilation.
17. FUSES BLOWN REPEATEDLY
1. Wrong fuse rating
Replace with fuses of proper rating.
2. Loose wiring, terminals or
connections
Tighten all electrical connections.
18. COMPRESSOR DOESN’T UNLOAD WHEN STOPPED
1. Leaking pilot valve / seat leaking Check pilot valve; replace if necessary
2. Automatic drain valves blocked
Check, disassemble, clean; install new o-ring and seat if necessary.
3. Centrifugal unloader is not
functioning
Check; replair or replace.
4. Pilot valve Pin is broken or bent
Replace pin.
19. AUTOMATIC DRAIN VALVES DO NOT DRAIN
1. Pilot Solenoid valve faulty
Replace solenoid valve.
2. Automatic Drain blocked
Disassemble the drain valve; clean and replace o-rings and spring.
