Troubleshooting
If your DVD/CD Duplicator is not performing as expected, refer to the
symptoms in the following table, and follow the suggested corrective action.
Symptoms Corrective Action
No message on display or
the unit does not operate
when power on.
Check the power cord and the power outlet. •
Reset power-on (turn power off, wait 10
seconds, turn power back on).
Display shows an error
message.
During an operation like “Copy”, “Test”, or •
“Compare and Verify”, if you press the ESC
button to abort the operation, an Error message
will display. Aborting may cause the DVD/
CD-Recorder to hang up, and you will have
to restart the duplicator to be back in normal
operation.
Failure to read the source may produce an error •
message on the display. Change to another
source DVD/CD and try again.
During operation, if there is a reading error, •
buffer under-run error, or writing error, the
display will show an error message such as
“Pass xx”, “Failed xx”.
If there is no drive detected by the Duplicator •
while power-on, the display will show an error
message before entering the main menu.
DVD/CD-ROM cannot
read the disc and displays
an error message (P/N
260147 and 260148).
Check the format and the surface of the source •
disc.
Use the DVD/CD-Recorder to read the source. •
If it works, the DVD/CD-ROM may be
defective or the disc may not be compatible
with the DVD/CD-ROM.
Buttons do not function. May still be busy with last task. •
Button malfunction. •
Faulty circuit board. •
Copy completed but
DVD/CD-R disc is not
readable/executable.
Use Compare function to check. •
Try the disc in another DVD/CD-ROM drive. •
