10.5 CUBE Grounding Requirements
PV Grounding
CUBE supports positive, negative, and floating grounding schemes. The chassis of the
CUBE must be connected to main earth ground. Not properly grounding the CUBE
enclosure can be dangerous for operators and maintenance personnel.
The size of the grounding conductor is usually based on the size of the largest conductor in the
DC system.
Shock hazard
All power terminals are considered to have a high voltage potential to ground. To
reduce the risk of shock during installation, treat all terminals as high voltage and
test for voltage before touching exposed wiring. The work should be performed by
qualified service personnel.
Ground lug is located at the bottom of the electrical compartment of the CUBE. Main earth
connection can be made directly to the lug, which is already bonded to the enclosure door.
