− Do not subject the barbecue thermom-

eter to direct sunlight to prevent the

batteries from becoming too hot.

− Don't heat up the batteries and don't

throw them in an open fire.

Risk of chemical burns from

battery acid!
The older the batteries, the great-

er the risk of battery acid being

leaked. Leaking battery acid may

lead to chemical burns.

− Do not allow battery acid to come into con-

tact with skin, eyes or mucus membranes.

− In the event of contact with battery acid,

immediately flush the applicable areas

with plenty of clean water and consult a

physician if necessary.
