1. Check your vehicle’s user manual for information regarding installation and use of auxiliary lighting.
2. If battery disconnection is required, MAKE SURE you check the instructions in the vehicle’s user manual as
disconnecting the battery may affect the vehicle’s on-board computer system and other devices such as your
radio or clock which may require a code to reset. ALWAYS check the vehicle’s user manual recommendations
BEFORE disconnecting the vehicle’s battery.
WARNING
. Disconnecting the battery may affect the vehicle’s computer systems.
3. Layout the wiring harness and familiarize yourself with the wiring diagram on page 10.
4. Locate the in-line fuse “D” open the top cap and remove the blade fuse.
5. Find a suitable place within the engine bay to mount the 12V relay “C” and inline fuse holder “D”.
Check to ensure that the RED (+) and BLACK (-) ring terminals can reach the battery “F”
CAUTION.
DO NOT
connect terminals to the battery at this stage.
Check that all the cables can reach their respective components from the chosen 12V relay mounting position.
Ensure that the cables are routed away from and heat sources and moving parts within the engine bay.
The 12V relay “C” should be mounted in an upright position protected from heat, sharp edges and moisture.
6. Unplug the wires from the back of the ON/OFF switch “H” noting which colour wire is connected to each
terminal. Select a suitable position on the lower dash board inside the vehicle to mount the ON/OFF switch “H”
making sure it is in easy reach of the driver.
NOTE.
Mounting the ON/OFF switch “H” could require removal of a spare switch enclosure on
your vehicle’s dash board or making a small hole to fit the ON/OFF switch “H” securely.
7. Remove the vehicle’s high beam wiring loom plug “B” from one of the vehicles headlights on the same side of
the vehicle that is closest to the mounted 12V relay “C” position.
Check the compatibility of the vehicle’s high beam plug “B” with the included piggy back connectors “A”
supplied with the driving lights and light bar. Your kit includes a HB3 and H4 piggyback connector.
