OmniSwitch 6400 Series Hardware Users Guide

Hot-Swapping a Rack Mounted Power Supply

1

Disconnect the power supply to be hot-swapped from its power source.

2

Loosen the power supply cable of the power-supply to be hot-swapped and disconnect from power 

supply.

Loosen the captive screw of the power supply to be hot-swapped.

4

Carefully slide the power supply out of the power supply shelf and set aside.

Rack-Mounted Power Supplies

5

Carefully slide the new power supply on to the power supply shelf and secure the power supply to the 

shelf using the captive screw. 

6

Reconnect the power supply cable of the new power-supply and tighten securely.

7

Re-connect the power supply to its power source.
