Circuit connections display

You can view a display of a single circuit connection or a group of connections.

Figure 23-2 is an example of the SHOW_GROUP display, showing a simple RS-232

DCM circuit connection (P1-01 to M01-1) and a V.35 DCM super-rate

cross-connection (P1-05 through P1-08 to M05-01).

Current connections are indicated by an asterisk.

Protecting connections (RAPID protection switching)

The 2902 MainStreet NTU provides RAPID circuit protection. You can protect a

connection by specifying an alternate connection in case of a circuit or link failure.

The original connection is called the preferred connection and the alternate

connection is the protecting connection.
