5.2 Data transmission
Select the desired function on the PS programmer screen and adjust the
right value of that function.
To transmit, press the
T key. The programming led will blink to indicate
that the modulator has received the datum.
5.3 Selecting the output channel or output frequency.
WARNING , modulators are adjusted ex works to channel ZZ(62). We
recommend using a previous planning of output channels before
programming, thus avoiding the selection of already engaged channels.
Make sure that the output channels are not being used in the distribution.
Nevertheless, to verify the output channel programmed in the MS, use the
READ function.
The Output channel M-N C indication on the screen permits
selecting broadcast channels, while the Output channel M-N
permits selecting cable channels. Press the C/S key to shift between
broadcast or cable channels.
The message Output frequency displayed on the screen allows the output
frequency to be selected in 0.25 MHz jumps.
6. DATA COPYING
Make sure that the values of all functions (with the exception of the output
channel) correspond to the values required by your installation. While
pointing at the modulator, press the
F and COPY keys. The PS
programmer must remain pointed at the receiver until the
Copy...
message disappears from the screen.
7. DATA READING
While aiming the modulator, press the F and READ keys: Read...
will be displayed on the screen.
While reading, the program led of the modulator will blink and the
modulator should not receive any other transmissions.
Keep the PS programmer aimed at the modulator until the Read...
message goes off the screen.
8. ADJUSTING THE VIDEO INPUT LEVEL
The
Video Level
function allows you to control the depth of
modulation. The 8 video levels correspond to typical depths of
modulation, namely of 65/70/75/80/85/ 90/95/100%, for a video
input level of 1 Vpp. For other video input levels, use the PS programmer
to select the correct level so that the TV image is neither excessively bright
nor excessively dark.
