4.2.1 Additional Information: Signal Strength
While playing a DAB program the radio is able to display the signal strength of the currently selected
station.
When the stations signal strength is below the
minimum signal level. The audio stream might
get interrupted. You can try to improve the
reception quality by moving the antenna or the
entire radio to a different position.
5 FM
Mode
5.1 How to Shift to FM Mode?
1. Press
the
MODE
button once to shift the radio from the DAB Mode to the FM mode The display
will look like this..
2. If you have switched to the FM mode the first time, the radio will start at the beginning of the FM
frequency range (87.50MHz). Otherwise, the last FM station you were listening to will be selected.
3. To adjust the frequency
manually
, press
TUNE

then turn
SELECT
to adjust the frequency by
0.05 MHz per step.
4. To
scan
for active station
automatically
, simply press the
SELECT
button.

By default, FM scans stop at any available station. This may result in the radio staying at
stations which are quite weak and don´t have a good audio quality. But this way the radio will
receive almost every stations which is available.

It is possible to change the settings so the radio will only stop the scan at stations with high
signal strength. Please see chapter 5.3 how to set this up.
5.2 FM
menu
The FM specific menu only consists out of the menus ‘Scan setting’ and ‘Audio setting’. All other
menus are part of the system setting menu and are covered in chapter 7.
