UXSM Harness Installation
Depending on the type of installation and equipment ordered, the UXSM can be powered several
different ways. Each method will be described below.
10.1.
24/48VDC Battery Powered
This harness connection will permit the UXSM to be powered directly from the battery it is monitoring.
This capability is only allowed on units monitoring 24/48VDC batteries. The following is a list of parts
required to construct the power harness. These parts should be included within the installation kit
provided the system was ordered with the intention to power the module from the battery.

A positive (red) and negative (black) lead are required to be constructed. Each lead will consist of a fuse
holder assembly 1100-433MPM, some length of red and black wire, which terminates to a four pin
connector 2140-002.
To construct the cable, pre cut the appropriate length of red and black wire. Ensure to add additional
length for service loops as required. Attach the red wire to pin 1 and the black wire to pin 4 of the four
pin connector.
