This header is used to connect to the CD-ROM/DVD audio cable 
 

 

Front Panel Audio Header (Orange): FRONT AUDIO 

You can use the Front Panel Audio header (FRONT AUDIO) to connect to a separate audio bracket or to 
connect to case embedded audio equipment. The Front AUDIO header provides MIC-in and Line–out 
functionality and cannot be used simultaneously with the back panel mic and speakers. An SPDIF/Audio 
bracket is optionally packaged with some models
