Chapter 3. Troubleshooting
Before proceeding, we recommend you verify that your mainboard is fully
installed by verifying that all of the drivers for your mainboard that came with
your installation CD-ROM are loaded.
If you are encountering technical difficulties, browse the list below to see if
any of the suggestions are applicable.
The monitor is blank when the computer boots up.
¾ Make sure the card is properly seated in your AGP slot or
PCI-Express slot. Before trying to remove the VGA card, shutdown
your system firstly. And then reinsert the VGA card back into the slot,
press firmly until the card snaps into place.
¾ Make sure your monitor is connected to VGA card and the monitor
power cable is connected to an outlet.
¾ Make sure the mainboard power cables are connected.
¾ Make sure that power to the monitor is turned on when your system
is powered on.
How can I know the drivers and the BIOS version of my VGA card?
¾ You can determine the driver version of your VGA card by clicking
the Start button, pointing to Settings option, and selecting the
Control Panel folder. In the Control Panel window, double-click on
the Display icon to display the Display Properties window. And you
will get more information.
Why I can not change the resolution settings on my computer?
¾ Make sure that the appropriate drivers have been installed for your
VGA card and monitor.
¾ Make sure the software has been correctly installed.
¾ Make sure that the resolution you configured matches the monitor
supported resolutions. See the manual that is attached with monitor
product.
We will not provide a BIOS Update program lest the consumer causes any
damage or problems to their VGA card in the update processes.
