Before installation, disconnect the 13-pin plug
from the towing vehicle.
The handbrake must be released during in-
stallation!
On caravans before model year 1998, the ad-
apter bracket must be replaced by a new bra-
cket.
INSTALL ATC
Install ATC (variants A-D)
1. Loosen and remove lock nut and brake rod
holder (
Figure 01, item 1
).
2. Shorten thread length on brake rod to 10 mm
(
Figure 01, item 2
).
3. Screw guide pin M10 / M12 onto brake rod
and lock (
Figure 02
).
4. Lubricate thread of pushrod extension before
installation - corrosion protection.
5. Push plastic bushing and pushrod extension
into ATC (
Figure 03
).
6. Screw on hexagon nut up to the stop (
Figure
04
).
7. Screw pushrod extension into ATC as far as
possible (
Figure 05
).
8. Push ATC forward up to Bowden cable adap-
ter bracket (
Figure 06
).
9. Bolt on ATC (
Figure 07
).
Variants A and B: Bolt on with retaining strap.
Variants C and D: Bolt directly to the adapter
bracket.
2x Allen bolt
2x lock washer
2x hexagon nut, self-locking
a) Fit the toothed washer under the bolt
head.
b) Tighten the bolts left and right alternately.
ADVICE
Pushrod must be centered in the
through-hole. Tightening torque: 40 Nm.
10. Unscrew pushrod extension by hand until it is
in contact with the hexagon nut of the guide
pin (
Figure 08
).
Maximum distance: 1 mm!
11. Lock hexagon nut on ATC (
Figure 17

Counterhold at the flats of the pushrod ex-
tension.
Install ATC (variant E)
1. Loosen and remove lock nut and brake rod
holder (
Figure 09, item 1
).
2. Shorten thread length on brake rod to 10 mm

3. Unhook Bowden cables from adapter bracket
(
Figure 10
).
4. Lubricate thread of pushrod extension before
installation - corrosion protection.
5. Push plastic bushing and pushrod extension
into ATC (

).
6. Screw on hexagon nut up to the stop (
Figure

).
7. Screw pushrod extension into ATC as far as
possible.
8. Push ATC forward in driving direction up to the
Bowden cable adapter bracket (
Figure 13
).
9. Bolt on ATC with adapter bracket (

a) Fit the toothed washer under the bolt
head.
b) Screw on hexagon nuts with washers and
tighten left and right alternately.
ADVICE
Pushrod must be centered in the

10. Screw guide pin M10 / M12 onto brake rod
and lock (
Figure 15
).
11. Insert guide pin into bore of pushrod exten-
sion.
12. Hook in Bowden cables.
13. Adjust the brake rod.
14. Unscrew pushrod extension by hand until it is
in contact with the hexagon nut of the guide
pin (
Figure 16
).
Maximum distance: 1 mm!
15. Lock hexagon nut on ATC (

Connection
Safety
Never connect the ATC without a fuse or di-
rectly to a car battery.
Use only the cables supplied.
