User Manual for Sweep Nets | Revision 4 | December 2020 |

The illustration above shows an example of a small sweep net used when sampling fish. 
Such nets are usually manufactured from lightweight netting and rope to make handling 
easier. 

 
 

 

For cone-shaped nets (e.g. ENCC coned nets), we recommend using sweep nets with 
cut corners. This will ensure the sweep net is better adapted to the net it will be used 
in.
