13. DVD Setup Menu’s
TV System.
This is set to “PAL” as default and it should not be changed.
Screen Saver.
When switched on the Screen Saver will be displayed after 5 minutes of DVD Pause or DVD Stop. Default
is “On”.
TV TYPE.
Some DVD discs have been authored in 4:3 aspect ratio format. To see the material in its original mode,
you may need to change the Aspect ratio.
4:3/PS (Pan& Scan).
Black edges left and right will be seen.
4:3/LB (Letterbox).
Top and bottom of the screen may be black.
16:9 (Widescreen).
Full width picture but may have black areas top and bottom.
PASSWORD

To change the Parental Rating ”see below”, you need to enter a password, press

and the Lock will be
highlighted. Enter “0000”. The lock will now open.
RATING.
Select Rating using the

/
▼
buttons. Enter the list using the

button.
Set the level using the
▲
/
▼
buttons and press OK. You will be asked for the password (0000). Default is
ADULT.
POWER RESUME.
If you turn the TV off with a DVD disc playing. The DVD will resume at the “Stopped” place when the power
is turned back on and DVD is selected. Default setting is “Off”.
DEFAULT.
Selecting Default will reset to the factory settings all your personal settings in the DVD setup
menu.
LANGUAGE SETUP. (Fig 24)
OSD LANGUAGE
. Select using the

language required. Press OK to select. Default is “English”.
AUDIO LANGUAGE
. Select Audio Lang using the

buttons. The
languages available will be shown in the right column. Select the
required language using the

If the disc has that language it will play the soundtrack in that language.
SUBTITLE LANGUAGE
. Select Subtitle using the

The languages available will be shown in the right column. Select the required language using the

buttons. Default is English. If the disc has that language it will display the Subtitles in that language.
MENU LANGUAGE
. Select Menu Lang using the

has that language it will display the menu in that language.
AUDIO SETUP. (Fig 25)
TONE.
(Pitch). Adjusting the Tone, varies the “Pitch” of the sound.
Default is set to “0”.
