Problem Possible
Cause Remedy
Dead. No Led Lit
No power connected to the player
Check all connections and ensure
the power is turned on at the switch
Dead. Red led lit.
Player in Standby.
Press the Power button on the
player. If connected to a Tv via the
scart socket the Tv should display
the “Splash screen”
Not connected correctly.
If using the scart socket, ensure the
plugs are seated correctly.
No picture or sound on Tv
Tv input not selected.
If the Tv is not “Auto select” in scart
mode, manually switch to AV.
Disc not playing
Disc in upside down
Remove disc and place label side
up
Picture freezes and sound mutes
Disc dirty or damaged
Remove disc and inspect for dirt or
damage. Clean disc if dirty and
discard if damaged
Double image or picture in Black
and White
Progressive scan selected
If using a normal Tv select Interlace
scan in Screen setup menu
Sound or Subtitles in wrong
language
Wrong sub titles or sound track
selected.
Enter Menu and select correct
language
Will not play DiVx discs
Wrong version of DiVx
Check version of DiVx, will not play
Ver 3.1 or before.
Batteries may be exhausted
Replace batteries each 12 months
No Remote Control function
Object blocking receiver “eye”
Remove any objects in I/R path

Mains Plug Wiring Diagram.
IMPORTANT
For your safety. If the mains plug needs replacing, proceed as follows :-
DO NOT CONNECT THE CENTRE PIN (EARTH).
Connect the Blue wire to the (N) terminal ( this may be coloured blue).
Connect the Brown wire to the (L) terminal adjacent to the fuse ( this may be coloured brown).
This appliance must have a 3A fuse fitted.
