How to dismantle:
1.) Undo the three screws 19 and pull out mic assembly of housing 15 as far as possible. Unplug XLR
connector cable 20 from board 6 and remove housing 15.
2.) To change the XLR wall mount connector remove the two screws 21 and pull out connector 20.1.
ATTENTION: If not otherwise necessary, never undo screw 18 (ground connection of housing).
Reinstalling the screw with toothed washer 17 and solder tag is extremely difficult and a special
magnetic clamp screwdriver is necessary.
3.) To remove board 6 loose screw 11 and spacer 9. Separate holder 8 from board taking care that nut
10 does not get lost. Disconnect board 6 from board 5. The tube 7 can easily be exchanged now.
4.) Two methods are possible for access to board 5. Either the two contact posts for the capsule
terminals have to be cut directly above the board. The board itself can then easily be removed by
slightly pressing the plastic latch (marked with * in drawing on page 1) of the contact assembly 4
outwards. This method is easy but the contact assembly 4 afterwards needs to be renewed. The second
possibility is without destroying part 4 but needs careful processing. The solder around the contact
posts on board 5 has to be removed using "solderwick". Ensure that solder is completely removed from
the respective pcb´s solder points and from the 2 posts. Then disengage the latch and turn out board
by slipping it off the contact posts. After removal of the board the contact assembly can be pulled out
from frame 3.
5.) The cap 13 is removed by holding the microphone at frame 3, turning the cap clockwise and taking
it off (bayonet lock).
6.) When reassembling the microphone mind the following hints:
• The board 6 is mounted with the components facing the tube 7. Before you do this, insert the spacer

• The XLR connector cable is threaded through the open lower end of the frame 3. Take care not to
damage the fine copper wire of transformer T1 when connecting the cable to the board.

The three screws 19 are self tapping. Please take care that the screws find their correct way into the
already cut thread in frame 3. If the screws cannot easily be turned try to carefully turn them
counterclockwise until they drop into the first gang of the counter thread
