Problem
Possible cause
Solution
Spots
and/or
filming on
glassware
There can be many
causes for this, for
example:
- extremely hard water
- low inlet temperature
- overloaded or improp-
erly loaded dishwasher
- lack of rinse aid
- old or damp detergent
- incorrect detergent
dosage.
To remove spots from glassware:
1. Take all metal utensils out of the
dishwasher, leaving the spotted
glassware.
2. Choose the longest program and do
not add detergent.
3. Run the program for about 18–22
minutes, until it is in the main wash.
4. Open the door and pour two cups
of white vinegar into the bottom of
the dishwasher.
5. Close the door and let the
dishwasher complete the program.
If the vinegar does not work, repeat the
above steps but using 1/4 cup of citric
acid crystals instead of vinegar.
Dishes are
not dried.
Improper loading
Load the dishwasher as suggested in
this manual.
Too little rinse aid
Increase the amount of rinse aid. Set
the dosage dial to a higher number.
No rinse aid
Refill the rinse aid dispenser.
Dishes are removed too
soon after the program
has finished.
Do not empty your dishwasher straight
after washing. Open the door slightly
so steam can escape. Wait at least 15
minutes before unloading. Only start
unloading when the dishes are barely
warm to the touch. Empty the lower
basket first to prevent water from
dropping off dishes in the upper basket
onto the dry dishes in the lower basket.
Wrong program selection
In shorter programs the rinse
temperature is generally lower. This also
lowers the drying performance. Choose
a longer program with a higher rinse
temperature.
Use of plastic dishes
or cutlery with a lower-
quality coating
Water drainage is more difficult with
these items, which makes them less
suitable for washing in a dishwasher.
