VARIOUS FUNCTIONS

Setting the alarm

You can set the unit to alert you at a specified time.

1 While “ALARM?” is on the display,

press MENU/ENTER twice.

 flashes and the remaining time before

the alarm sounds appears.

2 While “SET?” is on the display, press

MENU/ENTER.

 flashes and a time selection item appears.

3 While 

  is flashing, press

have a desired time displayed.
The time is variable between 1 minute
and 3 hours.
Each time you slide the switch, the time
increases or decreases by 10 minutes.
Press and hold the switch to increase or
decrease by 1 minute.

4 While   is flashing, press MENU/ENTER

again to confirm the time.

 stops flashing and the display changes

to the alarm remaining time display.

After the specified time elapses, the unit
enters playback pause mode and “It’s time!”
flashes with beep sounds for 30 seconds.
Then the playback resumes.

To stop the alarm

Press any button.

To change the alarm remaining time display

Press DISPLAY repeatedly to select the
desired display.

To cancel the alarm function

While “ALARM?” is on the display, press
MENU/ENTER twice.

 disappears and the alarm setting is cleared.

The alarm setting is also cancelled when
you remove the battery.

When the alarm is set and you press

stop playback, the alarm setting is not
cancelled and the unit remains on. After the
alarm sounds, the unit turns off automatically.
