1. Choose the location carefully to ensure op-
timal sun exposure throughout the day. Check
for any shade on the roof created by trees or a
chimney.
2. Measure once and cut twice. Take a
minute to create a template that will create the
correct dimensions for your cut.
3. Center the AirScape Solar Attic Fan ap-
proximately 2 feet away from the roof ridge to
facilitate good circulation.
4. Before you begin, gently clean any oil resi-
due from the flashing.
5. Use a high quality silicone sealant to en-
sure a good waterproof seal.

equipped with a thermal on/off switch, de-
signed to turn the fan:

As the attic temperature rises to 80

the fan
will automatically turn on. Once the attic cools
to 80

the fan will shut off.
You can remove the solar attic fan thermal
switch, the fan then will operate only when
there is sunshine, and shut off at dusk.
