Chapter 9: Telnet Management
9.1 Introduction
Print server can be configured and managed by Telnet. Through Local Area Network, or even Internet,
administrator can easily configure and manage print server’s various main functions by a telnet client.
9.2 Login
Execute the Telnet client tool and connect to the print server IP.
telnet 192.168.2.2
Then you will be prompted to enter the username and password.
After you successfully enter the correct username and password, the following prompt will be displayed and
you can start to manage this print server by command.

9.3 Get Setting Values – “get” Command
“get” command is used to get the setting values of this print server. The format of “get” command is as follows:
Get argument
Then the argument value will be displayed after the command. For example, if I want to get IP address of the
print server, I type “get ip” command and the IP value “IP_ADDR=’192.168.2.2’” is displayed:
