TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Solution
Unit does not turn on
•
Check that unit is plugged in and outlet
has power.
•
Check that unit is turned on.
Red light blinks
•
Check that unit has water.
Refill tank.
•
Verify tank cap is secured tightly and
water tank is positioned correctly on
base.
Humidifier is not putting out
enough vapor.
•
Insufficient water in tank.
Refill tank.
•
Ensure unit is on level surface, not
inclined.
•
Check that water tank is installed onto
base correctly.
•
Check that output is set to correct level.
•
Make sure oscillator is not damaged.
Strange smell coming from unit
•
If first time use, this is normal and will
dissipate shortly.
•
The humidifier may be growing bacteria.
Clean unit according to maintenance
instructions, page 7.
•
Transducer may be dirty. Unplug unit and
clean transducer as described on page 7.
Water is leaking from unit
•
The water cap is not securely tightened.
•
The water tank is not situated correctly
on the base
•
The unit has been moved or jostled,
allowing water to spill.
White dust appears on surfaces
near humidifier.
•
Remove and replace demineralization
cartridge. If it continues, change to
filtered or distilled water.
