• The manufacturer attaches great importance to the product

being used and maintained in a manner that guarantees

the safety of the users. To guarantee safe and reliable use,

please proceed as follows:

1. Read the manual and the safety instructions prior to

installing the product.

2. Ensure that all individuals involved in the installation and

commissioning are familiar with all relevant information from

the manual and safety instructions prior to installing and

commissioning of the product. Please ensure that those

instructions are actually understood. The person in charge

of installation is responsible for this.

• Always observe the safety instructions. If the safety

instructions, warnings and instructions are not observed,

this may result in serious or fatal personal injury and

damage to the installation.

• When connected, the product (or components of the

product) is/are energised with a voltage of 230V.

• To guarantee proper and safe operation, preferably the

original parts of the manufacturer should be used, or at least

parts of equal quality.

• A degree of caution should be exercised when handling the

fitting(s), also in order to prevent damage due to mechanica

overload of the components.

• Avoid bumps and other improper stresses during transport,

assembly and when using the fitting(s) and other products

• Glass covers should not be removed as this may damage

the sealing. When removing the glass cover, the warranty

will be void.

Installation

• It is important that the product is installed by a qualifie

fitter. Failure to do so will void the warranty on the product

• Whilst observing the installation guidelines, both general

and local building, safety and installation regulations must

be respected.

• Always block the traffic in the area where the product ha

been installed, before carrying out work on the installation.

• Keep the immediate environment free from animals and

(internal) transport when carrying out work.

• Use only insulated tools!

indicated on the sticker.

• Check the wiring diagram of the manual for electrical

connection and take local applicable legal connection terms

into account (e.g. in the Netherlands: NEN 1010).

• Make sure that the wiring is not live and that it is not loose

or trapped between parts.

• Prior to opening a plastic cover of a fitting, make it dea

to ensure a safe work situation. For the correct lamp. The

manufacturer is not responsible for any damage arising from

incorrect assembly.

Maintenance

• Always ensure the product is dead before carrying work on

the product.

• Keep in mind that both the glass covers and the lamps will

become hot and may cause severe burns. Allow lamps

to cool off for at least 30 minutes after turning off a fittin

Failure

• Be aware of the potential danger of live components when

troubleshooting. Although products have been designed

for safety and are grounded, it can never be completely

ruled out that failures in this respect may cause hazards.

Using the electrical installation and carrying out related

measurements is reserved for an approved electrician.

• In all cases, ensure to make fittings dead prior to openin

the plastic cover (turn off the main switch and lock this

by using, for example, a padlock). Be prepared for, and

prevent, accidental activation by others or by means of

automated control and/or a dimmer switch.

• In case of faults, do not touch the object as long as the

power supply is switched on, if the casing has been

damaged and when the product is wet.
