5. Maintenance

Cleaning the Cooling Screen

After long operation, dirt can clogg the cooling sys-

tem. To avoid overheating and damage to the en-

gine, regularly clean cooling screen (B/8).  Check

each time before you take up operation!

Air-Cooling System

Clean  internal  cooling fins and surf aces  at least

every

operating  hours (ear lier  in very  dusty

conditions).

Governor

For smooth engine performance keep governor link-

ages, springs and actuating devices clean from dust

and dirt. Do not bend or twist parts. (Governor link-

ages on carburetor B/13).

Exhaust

Regularly clean surrounding parts of muffler (B/3).

Free from grass, dirt and inflammable deposits.

Check each time before you take up operation.

Caution with hot engine parts!

The exhaust and other engine parts become very

hot, if the engine runs and immediately after turn-

ing  off.  Hold for  sufficient distance from hot sur-

faces  and keep  children away  from the r unning
