Introduction

Product Description

The Agilent OmniBER OTN provides all the test capability you 
need to test the performance of today’s high-capacity 
transmission systems and networks, in one portable package.

•

Global test coverage (SONET, SDH), testing up to 10.7 Gb/s, 
including the availability of a full range of standard and 
concatenated mappings, GFP/LAPS/Ethernet/VT/TU 
payload testing and DS1/3 and 2/34/140 Mb/s service 
mappings

•

Virtual concatenation (VCAT) signals for low and high order 
SONET and SDH

•

Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (LCAS) signals 
transmitted and received

•

All standard error and alarm measurements, plus optical 
power, frequency, service disruption time, pointer 
movements and performance analysis

•

Simultaneous all-channel testing (up to 192 STSs/AUs)

•

Thru-mode monitoring

•

Comprehensive SONET/SDH overhead testing

•

Broad range of graphical results tools

•

Comprehensive online help facilities including Online Help, 
context-sensitive help for each control field and facility for 
adding your own help documents
