switch disconnects the mains circuits from the mains sup-

ply after the EMC filters and before other parts of the instrument.

If the Agilent 8702D fails to turn on properly, consider the following
possibilities:

• Is the line fuse good?

• Does the line socket have power?

• Is it plugged into the proper ac power source?

If the instrument still fails, return it to Agilent Technologies for repair.
