All Wavelength Tests
Make sure that the cable connector, detectors and adapters are clean.
Connect the DFB Laser Source Module to the Wavelength Meter as
shown in Figure 8.

Move to the DFB-Source channel of the Agilent 8163A/4A/6A
mainframe and press
Menu

Set the
Wavelength mode
to
Offset
and adjust the
Power
reading to
1mW or 0dBm

Close
the Menu.

Press the key beside the laser output to switch on the laser ouput.
5
Adjust the frequency offset to the first value given in the test record
in column "from wavelength".
