4.24.10 Gas Drive — Fuel Pump

1. Attach the fuel pump (1) to the motor mount using the factory-supplied bolts and flange nuts (see

Figure 66

and

Figure 67

2. Attach a connector ring to each end of the fuel pump’s wiring.

3. Secure the ground wire (black, 4) to the motor mount bolt.

4. Route and connect the positive wire (red, 5) into the engine wiring harness.

Note

The pump will engage when the ignition is turned on. The pump should turn off when the engine
turns off, otherwise you risk wearing out the battery.

5. Refer to the Tank Kit section to install the fuel tank.

6. Route and install the fuel hoses (2) from the tank to the fuel pump (1), and from the fuel pump to the fuel

filter (see

Figure 68

). Attach the fuel hoses to the pump using hose clamps (3).
