4.31. Install the Inspection Step

The inspection step is used on conveyors with a gas engine or electric motor.

1. Position the inspection step adjacent to the portion of the axle frame with anti-slip tape (and below the gas

engine or electric motor) as shown in

Figure 99

2. Attach 5/8" x 2-1/2" u-bolts (2) from the underside of the axle frame and through the inspection step (1)

with 5/8" nylock nuts (3) and 5/8" flat washers (4) (see

Figure 100
