Transfer begins after it is confirmed that the rinse station is operating properly. It takes
approximately 8-10 minutes to complete dispensing from one 384-well microtiter plate to
one 384 SpectroCHIP Array using the standard 24-pin array format or from one 96-well
microtiter plate to one 96 SpectroCHIP Array using the 6-pin array format.
2.9 Dispensing run activities
This section explains the activities that are automatically carried out during a dispensing
run.
Sending sample
tracking data from a
previous run
If sample tracking data from a previous run is waiting to be sent, the instrument will
attempt to send it at the beginning of the run. The dialog box shown in
appears when data is being sent, and will disappear once data transfer is complete.
Priming the water
supply system
Air bubbles may slowly develop in the supply tubing when the instrument is not in use.
Priming consists of slowly pumping water through the supply tubing to expel any air
bubbles. At the beginning of a dispensing run, the water supply system is primed for
seven seconds (default duration).
