For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

A.1 Adapting an instrument to 6-pin or 1-pin format

This section explains the steps to install a 6- or 1-pin insert, and to remove an insert to
return to the standard 24-pin format.

Go to the Maintenance screen by tapping the

Tools

button on the Main Menu.

If you are not on the Main Menu, tap the

BACK

button

on any screen.

Tap

CHANGE INSERT

on the

Maintenance

screen

(Figure A.3)

Follow the instructions that appear:

a. Open the main door.

b. Remove the vacuum cover and calibrant reservoir by simply lifting them off the dry

station. If the calibrant reservoir is a little difficult to remove, rock it slightly side-to-

side as you lift
