
The engine is equipped with an auxiliary electric
starter.
Before carrying out any welding repairs on the
combine, loosen the electrical cables of the
alternator.
Do not use aerosol starter fluid as a starting aid.
The intake manifold heaters can ignite starter fluid,
resulting in an explosion. This explosion can cause
death or serious injury and damage to the engine.

Keep out of the engine compartment while the
engine is running. Before opening the engine
cover, shut down the engine, remove the key and
keep it with you.
LOOK AND LISTEN! Make sure that all moving
parts have stopped.

Be aware that the surfaces in and around the
engine compartment will be hot if the engine has
been running, even if only for a short period of
time.
Always allow parts to cool until you can touch
them before handling or disconnecting.

Never remove the cap from a hot radiator or
expansion tank. Steam and hot fluids expelled can
cause serious injury.
Always allow the cooling system to cool down
until you can touch the radiator before you remove
the cap.
