INSTALLATION

Check the appliance is electrically safe when you have finished.

n

WARNING 

Electrical Shock Hazard

• 

Electrical ground is required on this appliance.

• 

Do not connect to the electrical supply until the 

appliance is permanently grounded.

• 

Disconnect power to the circuit breaker or fuse box 

before making the electrical connection.

• 

This appliance must be connected to a grounded, 

metallic, permanent wiring system, or a grounding 

connector should be connected to the grounding 

terminal or wire lead on the appliance. Failure to do 

any of the above could result in a fire, personal injury or 

electrical shock.

Electrical Connection to the Range

Four Conductor Wire Connection to the Range
1. 

Remove the screws that secure the rear access cover 

and remove the access plate to expose the range 

terminal connection block 

(Fig. 7-1)

.

2. 

Remove the screws to loosen the cable clamp 

(Fig. 7-2)

 

and pass through the four conductor wire from the 

bottom of the range.

3. 

Loosen the screws on the terminal block and connect 

the wire to the correct terminals 

(Fig. 7-2)

. Make sure 

the colors of the connection cord match the colors 

of the wires already connected to the terminal block 

(range side).

4. 

Tighten the terminal block clamp screws to securely 

clamp the terminals of the attached cord.

5. 

Position the cable in the cable clamp and tighten the 

screws to secure.

6. 

Replace the rear access cover and tighten the screws.
