Check the ‘Technical Data’ section at the back of the book that
the hob is convertible to the gas you want to use.
A suitably competent person must perform the conversion.
After conversion the installation must comply with the
relevant regulations and also the local electricity supply
company requirements. Read the instructions before
converting this appliance.

Failure to convert the appliance correctly could
invalidate any warranty or liability claims and lead
to prosecution.
n
When servicing or replacing gas-carrying
components disconnect from the gas supply before
starting operation. Check the appliance is gas sound
after completion.
n
DO NOT use reconditioned or unauthorised gas
controls.
n
Disconnect from the electricity and gas supply
before servicing.
n
Before electrical reconnection, check that the
appliance is electrically safe.
Injectors
Remove pan supports and burner heads.
Remove burner heads. Undo the large brass nuts and remove
the brass venturis and brass rings (
Fig. 11.1
).
Use a long box spanner to access and remove the old injectors.
Using the rubber tubing, provided in the conversion kit, fit
over the end of the socket wrench (
Fig. 11.2
).
Carefully push the open end of the tubing onto the orifice
(
Fig. 11.3
). Unscrew the orifice fully and lift clear of the
cooktop.
Save the injectors removed from the appliance for possible
future use. Fit the new injectors, see the table ‘Technical Data’
section at the back of this book for the correct type.
Insert the new orifice into the open end of the rubber tube
which is attached to the socket wrench. Screw into the orifice
carrier as far as possible and lift the socket wrench away
(
Fig. 11.4
).
Remove the rubber tubing from the socket wrench and
tighten all of the orifices.
Replace the rings on the burners. Screw in the hexagon
headed venturi to make fitting the burners easier.
DO NOT
tighten yet.
When all the burner bases and venturis have been fitted
tighten the venturi nuts.
